Dr. Carol is a board certified physician in pulmonary, critical care, internal medicine, and sleep who has dedicated her scientific curiosity to helping women get better sleep and lead better lives.
Dr. Carol and her twin sister were born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where their parents attended Louisiana State University, and at age five moved to Taiwan. At age 17 the twins left their parents in Taiwan to attend Indiana University in Bloomington where Dr. Carol earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She then earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. In 2011, She completed a one-year sleep fellowship at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut.
Dr. Carol has worked in both private practice and in hospital settings, treating patients with sleep apnea who required CPAP solutions and the like. While sleep apnea is a serious condition, one that increasingly becomes a concern when women reach menopause, there are many aspects of life that can adversely affect our sleep. These issues affect all women of all ages, which left Dr. Carol curious about how she can do more to help her patients.
Today, Dr. Carol is able to help patients on a larger scale by providing trustworthy resources and science-driven information about sleep health through B. Hai, a telehealth sleep service that helps women get better sleep. B.Hai Sleep Health is named for Dr. Carol’s daughter, Bee Hai, a gesture that represents the next generation of women. She believes that women are the backbone of society, and when women are at their best, all of society benefits. Becoming true good sleepers is essential to becoming our best selves. Dr. Carol talks about the many aspects of sleep health in fun, informative videos on her YouTube channel. And for women seeking one-on-one guidance and individualized sleep healthcare, Dr. Carol meets privately through the online healthcare portal Elation, adhering to HIPAA standards.
